I really, really wish I had taken a picture of what my first six hours in South Carolina looked like. “A cloudy day” doesn’t even begin to describe it. It was raining steadily when my plane landed in Greenville last month, and it did not stop during lunch or my time visiting my brother. About an hour and a half before my scheduled shoot with the Hall family the rain tapered off, but it left behind heavy clouds, gusty winds, and temperatures ten degrees cooler. It looked like it could start raining again at any moment. I was nervous on the drive to Clemson.
And then this happened.
I seriously have no idea where this came from. The light was incredible. Sure it was chilly and windy, but the sun showed up and it was gorgeous.
I love that I get to see these kids every year! Ashlynn and Michael are growing up so quickly. I had lots of favorites from this session, but this next series was my favorite favorite.
Stephanie and Hud and their kids are so easy to photograph- they are great about just being themselves while I chase them with the camera.
Hooray for weather surprises! I couldn’t have asked for a better afternoon for one of my long-time families- they’ve been with me since the beginning and I love them. : )
