Well the way things have been going on this blog the past few months I’m sure no one is surprised at the lack of posts this week, but let me just go ahead and say it’s going to get worse before it gets better. Ha. I know my appearances will be very sporadic for the next few weeks even though I have lots of fun sessions to share. With only three weeks to go and a house that is apparently not going to pack itself, my next several posts will likely feature moments of our moving experience captured through Instagram (karinsc). But fear not- I have not traded my equipment in for my old school iPhone.
Today I DO have a real photo session shot with a real camera to share. Hooray!
When my cousin Melissa gave birth to her third kid last summer, we traded a few e-mails and set up his newborn photo shoot. And then the day I was supposed to head to Delaware for their session much of the state was evacuating in preparation for a hurricane. So we rescheduled. And then something else came up. And we rescheduled. And rescheduled. And rescheduled. And finally, two weeks ago I got to shoot what was supposed to be Sam’s newborn session, which is comical because two weeks from now Sam will be one year old. But it doesn’t matter- even with an 11-month-delay it was so great to catch up with and photograph Melissa and Philip and their kids Adam, Lydia, and Sam!
While this is clearly not a newborn baby, I had a great time with this happy little guy.

Hope you enjoy a wonderful long weekend!
